AesCode Co. emerged from Nexus 3.0 — the annual undergraduate research conference at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune — co-hosted for its inaugural cohort in partnership with the Koita Centre for Digital Health at IIT Bombay.
The founding premise was straightforward: meaningful progress at the intersection of medicine and technology does not happen by accident. It requires structure — clinical rigour on one side, engineering capability on the other, and a shared problem to hold them together.
We recognised that the existing landscape of MedTech innovation in India was fragmented. Events were isolated. Prototypes were built without clinical grounding. Research findings rarely translated into deployable solutions. The gap was not one of ambition — it was one of infrastructure.
AesCode was built to close that gap.
Our programs are designed around a single constraint: every problem we work on must be both medically significant and technically tractable. We do not begin with technology and search for applications. We begin with clinical need, and work backward toward the most rigorous technical response.
Bharati Hospital provides the clinical foundation — a continuous source of real, documented clinical problems and a deployment context for validated tools. KCDH IIT Bombay's researchers served as research mentors and evaluation committee members for Cohort 1, contributing the computational standards the program demanded.
AesCode Co. was founded in 2026 by Nikhil Gour, its Founder & CEO. A 19-year-old gap-year builder, Nikhil leads AesCode's technical strategy and institutional partnerships, and also founded Care & Beyond and Inwest — working across Clinical AI, MedTech infrastructure, and health innovation in India.
THE PLATFORM
A MedTech Research Ecosystem.
Primary Mission
AesCode is a MedTech research platform. We identify clinically significant, unsolved problems and support rigorous, interdisciplinary programs that produce validated, deployment-ready outcomes. Research is the work. Everything else follows from it.
Research Methodology
Every program begins with clinical observation. Proposed solutions are held against research standards — reproducibility, clinical relevance, and deployment feasibility — before any development begins. We do not accelerate ideas that have not been tested.
Secondary Function
Where research outcomes demonstrate commercial viability, AesCode provides structured pathways toward startup formation and institutional support. Incubation follows validation — not the inverse.
Institutional Grounding
Our programs operate within the academic frameworks of KCDH IIT Bombay and Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College. Every initiative is held to the standards of peer-reviewed research and clinical practice. We do not lower that bar.
Federated Learning Infrastructure
Selected teams train AI models on real hospital data without that data leaving the hospital. The model goes to the data — not the other way around. Model weights, not patient records, are the only thing that moves. Privacy-preserving by architecture, not by policy.

At the foundation of AesCode's methodology is a single conviction: medical technology must meet the same evidentiary standards as the clinical science it serves. We do not move fast. We build the conditions under which rigorous, deployable research becomes possible.
